Golf Tournament and Auction

NEHA will be entering into the 21st year of the Golf Tournament and Auction.  Rotated through various golf courses over the years, NEHA is currently using the beautiful Cyprian Keyes Golf Resort in Boylston, Massachusetts for its event.  Usually held in early September of year year, the next event will be on September 17, 2012.  The Golf Tournament is open to all players and tops out at about 144 golfers.  The event includes a variety of activities including breakfast, 18 holes of golf with cart, a full luncheon, a silent auction with numeros prizes, and an awards ceremony.  During the luncheon, we are pleased to have a local speaker who talks about bleeding disorders and the importance of this event which provides support to our community.

Golfers may sign up as a foursome or individually.  A variety of golfing "games" are offered during the tournament including Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Beat the Pro, the String Game, and others.  There are several raffle-type offerings too.  Promotion begins in the mid-Spring and continues until 144 golfers are reached.

Hemophilia Walkathon

The Walk has now completed its second year and has been widely successful surpassing all our expectations!  The first Walk done in 2010 had 450 walkers, and 39 teams, with over $100,000 raised.    The second Walk, held on June 4, 2011 had over 600 walkers, with $82,000 raised and still counting.  Held once again at Bird Park in Walpole, Massachusetts, we experienced another outstanding event which included a Texas-Style BBQ, a Dunk Tank and other fun activities.  Our largest team, Biogen Idec Hemophilia, brought over 150 walkers to the event.
