SUMMARY:13th Annual Unite Walk
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nEach year, we host an annual Walk to celebrate the resilience, dedication and perseverance of our Wicked Strong Family! This important event also raises vital funds needed to allow our organization to continue to fulfill its mission of providing education, support and advocacy for the New England bleeding disorders community. \nOn October 1, community members, their families, friends, supporters, local businesses and our industry partners from all six New England states came together for our 13th Annual Walk at Prowse Farm in Canton, MA.\nYou can still make a donation until December 31, 2022 to help us continue our work on behalf of the bleeding disorders community in New England.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text]\nPlace A Donation Here ( https://www.uniteforbleedingdisorders.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=848 )\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The New England Hemophilia Association ( http://www.nehemophilia.org ) (NEHA) hosts an annual Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk to bring together the community and supporters to raise vital funds! One of the hallmarks of Camp is when children with a bleeding disorder learn to administer their treatment through intravenous for the first time. This right of passage allows them to live independently without letting their condition hold them back. Because of your financial support, we are able to subsidize 93% of the cost of Family Camp. Your donations helps give this experience to others. \nEmergency Assistance – Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided over $60,000 to more than 125 New England families experiencing a financial hardship. Your support allows us to help those in need. \nAdvocacy – We’ve lead efforts to protect patients by passing accumulator adjuster legislation in Connecticut and Maine, and we continue to advocate for access to care for all across all six New England states. Your generosity allows us and our needs to continue to be heard.\nResearch – Since 2018, we’ve contributed over $100,000 to help find a cure and improved treatment options for bleeding disorders. Your gift helps us continue investing in research.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]\nSupport Our Work ( https://www.uniteforbleedingdisorders.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=848 )\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”48px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]\nThe Walk Experience\nOur 2021 Unite Walk was an incredible opportunity to reunite as a community and to celebrate one another after spending nearly two years apart during the pandemic.\nThis recap video features footage from the day, aerial drone shots, testimonials from community members, and an explanation on how your donations make a difference in our community.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/O0W3DL6Bxmc”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]\nAgenda\n\n8:30 AM – Registration Begins\n8:30 AM – Breakfast Truck and Industry Sponsor Tents Open\n8:30 AM – Lawn Games, Corn Maze, and Obstacle Course Opens\n9:00 AM – Joe’s Crazy Critters Open to Explore\n9:45 AM – Stretching by Jeff LeBlanc, PT, DPT – Stage\n10:00 AM – Walk Ceremony Begins – Stage\n\n10:15 AM – National Anthem\n10:20 AM – Pinwheel Ceremony\n\n\n10:25 AM – Walk Begins – Track\n11:00 AM – BBQ Lunch and Ice Cream Truck Opens\n11:00 AM – Petting Zoo, Photo Booth, Face Painters, and a Variety of Entertainment Begins\n11:30 AM – Factor Club Medal Winners Announced and Award Presentations – Stage\n2:00 PM – Walk Concludes\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]\nTeam Captain Toolkit \nTeam captains hold an important role as leaders of the Walk.
