SUMMARY:Family Camp
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”3/5″][vc_column_text]Since 1992, NEHA has offered Family Camp to anyone with a bleeding disorder who receives care in one of the six New England states. Through Camp, we aim to accomplish two goals: increasing and enhancing self-infusion skills and building strong connections within our community.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This summer commemorated our 30th Annual Family Camp! Together, over the past thirty years, even during trying times and a global pandemic, we have never lost the magic of Camp. Watch this video to see what Family Camp is all about.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/5″][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/P_sWkucKYns”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text]\nFamily Camp 2022\nNEHA’s 30th Annual Family Camp was held in-person in June of 2022. NEHA’s Board of Directors, Camp Medical Team, and staff came to this decision after carefully reviewing data and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), American Camp Association (ACA), and Association of Camp Nursing (ACN). Using guidelines from these organizations and our local partners, we implemented a series of protocols that allowed us to safely host Family Camp in-person.\nFamily Camp was held from Wednesday, June 22 to Saturday, June 25 at Geneva Point Center on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, New Hampshire.\nMore information will be shared soon regarding Family Camp in 2023. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nActivities and Overview \n\nChildren & Teens ages 4-15 will be placed in color groups and will rotate through a variety of activities including arts and crafts, woodshop, archery, field games, and waterfront activities on Lake Winnipesaukee. Self-infusion classes are taught by experts. This relaxed environment helps campers learn how to self-infuse for the first time.\nTeens ages 16-17 are junior counselors.\nYoung adults ages 18+ are counselors.\nParents will have their own educational sessions while their kids rotate through the activities with their color groups.\nKids and parents will share all meals together.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nApplication Process \nApplications to attend Family Camp this summer are no longer being accepted. The application period was from February 22 to March 22.\nAccepted families have been notified, and are asked to complete their online registration and pay the registration fee before May 2\n\nFebruary 22: Applications Open\nMarch 22: Applications Close\nWeek of April 11: Families Notified of Acceptance \nWeek of April 11: Registration Begins\nMay 2: Registration Ends & Fees Due\nJune 21 – June 22: Staff and Counselor Training\nJune 22 – June 25: NEHA Family Camp \n\nA full agenda for Family Camp will be shared with accepted families. \n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nFamily Camp Cost\nWe are proud to subsidize 93% of the cost of Family Camp to make it affordable for everyone in our community to attend. Family Camp is made possible through the generous donations of individuals, industry sponsors, and several of the Hemophilia Treatment Centers in our region.\nRegistration fees are due in full by Monday, May 2, 2022.\n\nThe registration fee is $125 per family for 2022 NEHA Members.\nFor non members, the fee is $175 per family. Become a member here.\nFor families who are unable to afford the registration fee, we are happy to offer assistance through the Anneliese Seitz-Mund Scholarship.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Pay Camp Registration Fee” color=”juicy-pink” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.newenglandhemophilia.org%2Fcamp-pay%2F|||”][vc_column_text]\nHealth and Safety Guidelines\nNEHA will follow all COVID-19 guidelines set by the venue and the local government.\n\nAll attendees, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a simple and quick online COVID-19 Check-In form before attending the event. The form was created to protect your family and other attendees. The form will be emailed to you 72 hours before the event begins.\nNEHA strongly recommends that anyone eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine be fully vaccinated prior to attending any event.\nMask wearing is optional for all attendees.\nPlease stay home and do not attend the event if you have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for COVID-19 test results, have COVID-19 symptoms, feel sick or unwell, or if you have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has symptoms of COVID-19.\nIf you have any questions or concerns regarding symptoms, please contact: info@nehemophilia.org ( mailto:info@nehemophilia.org ).\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nApplication Process \nPlease read the following information carefully before applying.\n\nThis first step is an application. Acceptance letters will be sent in early April.\nIf you are accepted, you will begin the registration process at that time.\nApplying does not guarantee acceptance, as space is limited.\nIf we need to limit the number of families that can attend due to COVID-19, priority will be given to those who have never attended Family Camp. \nOnly one application needs to be submitted per family.\nIf you are applying for a Junior Counselor, Counselor, or Staff position, do not apply with your family. You must fill out an application on your own.\n\nApply For Camp Here ( https://forms.gle/iTGSpFumF85RuKA38 )\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text]\n\nEvent Sponsors\nWe are thankful to these companies for supporting this event:\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nPresenting Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”4161″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.mainehealth.org/Maine-Medical-Center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator el_width=”70″][vc_column_text]\nChampion Sponsors\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4158″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”http://www.hemlibra.com/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4150″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.novonordisk-us.com/patients-and-providers/what-is-hemophilia.html”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5546″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.pfizer.com/health-wellness/disease-conditions/hemophilia”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4682″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.brighamandwomens.org/medicine/hematology/boston-hemophilia-center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator el_width=”70″][vc_column_text]\nAdvocate Sponsors\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4160″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.grifols.com/en/home”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4714″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.lifespan.org/centers-services/hemostasis-and-thrombosis-center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator el_width=”70″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”4147″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.cslbehring.com/patients/find-your-disease/hereditary-bleeding-disorders”][vc_column_text]\nWoody 500 Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”4223″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.cvshealth.com/”][vc_column_text]\nIce Cream Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”5877″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://mylyfe.health/”][vc_column_text]\nBackpack Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”5825″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://paragonhealthcare.com/specialty-pharmacy/”][vc_column_text]\nArts and Crafts Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”7491″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.sanofigenzyme.com/en/areas-of-focus/rare-blood-disorders”][vc_column_text]\nCoffee Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”4148″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.bleedingdisorders.com/”][vc_column_text]\nArchery Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]\n
