SUMMARY:Family Camp
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nAbout Family Camp\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Since 1992, NEHA has offered a Family Camp program to anyone with a bleeding disorder who receives care in one of the six New England states. This event focuses on two key goals: increasing and enhancing self-infusion skills, and building connections within our community. The mission of Family Camp remains our north star as we create new ways of offering safe and meaningful education and connection to families. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/P_sWkucKYns”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text]\nFamily Camp 2021\nFamily Camp was held in-person while following strict COVID-19 prevention protocols in order to ensure the health and safety of our entire community.\nCamp was held from Monday, August 16 to Thursday, August 19 at Geneva Point Center in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Families from each of the six New England states attended in order to improve their self infusion techniques while also strengthening bonds within our community.\n \nDates and more information regarding next year’s Family Camp will be shared via email in the Spring of 2022. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text]\n\nEvent Sponsors\nWe are thankful to these companies for supporting this event:\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/4″][vc_column_text]\n\nPresenting Sponsor\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”4161″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.mainehealth.org/Maine-Medical-Center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_separator el_width=”80″][vc_column_text]\n\nChampion Sponsors\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”4147″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.cslbehring.com/patients/find-your-disease/hereditary-bleeding-disorders”][vc_single_image image=”4150″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.novonordisk-us.com/patients-and-providers/what-is-hemophilia.html”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”6702″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://cthemophilia.org/”][vc_single_image image=”5546″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.pfizer.com/health-wellness/disease-conditions/hemophilia”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”4158″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”http://www.hemlibra.com/”][vc_single_image image=”4148″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.bleedingdisorders.com/”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_separator el_width=”80″][vc_column_text]\n\nAdvocate Sponsors\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4682″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.childrenshospital.org/centers-and-services/programs/a-_-e/boston-hemophilia-center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4714″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.lifespan.org/centers-services/hemostasis-and-thrombosis-center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”6703″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.mainehemophilia.org/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4162″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.sanofigenzyme.com/en/areas-of-focus/rare-blood-disorders”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_separator el_width=”80″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”4165″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://cottrillspharmacy.com/hemophilia.html”][vc_column_text]\n\nIce Cream Sponsor\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”5877″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://mylyfe.health/”][vc_column_text]\n\nBlanket Sponsor\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”5825″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://paragonhealthcare.com/specialty-pharmacy/”][vc_column_text]\n\nWoody 500 Sponsor\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”4160″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.grifols.com/en/home”][vc_column_text]\n\nFriend Sponsor\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nFamily Camp 2021 Plans\nWe are pleased to announce that our 2021 Family Camp will be held in-person this summer. NEHA’s Board of Directors, Camp Medical Team, and staff came to this decision after carefully reviewing data and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), American Camp Association (ACA), and Association of Camp Nursing (ACN). Using guidelines from these organizations and our local partners, we have developed a series of protocols that will allow us to safely host Family Camp in-person.\nA complete agenda will be released to accepted families once it is finalized.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text]\nImportant Dates \nFamily Camp will be held from Monday, August 16 to Thursday, August 19 at Geneva Point Center on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. \n\nMay 18 – Applications Open\nJune 7 – Applications Close\nJune 21 – Families Notified of Acceptance \nJune 21 – Registration through CampDoc Begins\nJuly 7 – Registration through CampDoc Ends & Fees Due\nAugust 15 and August 16 – Staff and Counselor Training\nAugust 16 – August 19 – NEHA Family Camp \n\n \nActivities and Overview \nFamily Camp will feature many beloved traditions this year, while incorporating new procedures recommended by the CDC, ACA, and ACN to protect the health and safety of everyone on site. At the recommendation of the CDC, we will use a pod model to ensure the safety of attendees. \n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Read Our COVID-19 FAQs” color=”danger” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.newenglandhemophilia.org%2Fcamp-faq%2F|||”][vc_column_text]\nApplication Process \nPlease read the following information carefully before applying.\n\nApplications to attend Family Camp were accepted from Tuesday, May 18 to Monday, June 7.
