This vital program aims to accomplish two goals: to increase acceptance and management of the diagnosis and to build strong community connections. Watch this video to see what Family Camp is all about.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/P_sWkucKYns”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text css=””]\nActivities and Overview \n\nChildren ages 4-12 are assigned to color groups based on their age and rotate through a variety of activities including arts and crafts, woodshop, archery, field games, and waterfront activities.\n\nCampers with bleeding disorders, who are deemed eligible by their hematologist, also participate in self-infusion classes are also taught by medical professionals.\n\n\nTeens ages 13-15 participate in Adventure Club, a program that combines traditional camp activities with opportunities to grow their leadership and independence skills.\n\nTeens also participate in a special activity to challenge them to self-infuse in a non-traditional environment (like on a paddle board, on a night-hike, etc).\n\n\nTeens ages 16-17 are junior counselors.\n\nPlease note: all attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.\n\n\nYoung adults ages 18+ are counselors or volunteers.\nAdults attend their own educational sessions and social connection opportunities throughout the week while kids rotate through the activities with their color groups.\n\nParents also have the ability to participate in infusion classes.\n\n\nChildcare is available for infants to age three.\nKids and parents share all meals together, and participate in family activities together.\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”18px”][vc_column_text css=””]\nLodging and Accommodations \n\nFamilies will stay in either a private rustic cabin or private room within a shared space at Geneva Point Center.\nMost accommodations are equipped with a half bath.
