Wheels for the World Bike Ride
August 1 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
We are partnering with Save One Life to host Wheels for the World NEHA Day on Sunday, August 1! Join Team NEHA on the East Bay Bike Path for a socially distant 30-mile bike ride to raise funds for Save One Life and NEHA’s Emergency Assistance Program.
COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines will be strictly followed and riders will meet at India Point Park in Providence on Sunday, August 1 at 9 AM. The scenic and oceanfront bike path is roughly 15 miles in each direction running from Providence to Bristol along the Narragansett Bay, totaling 30 miles. Following the ride, everyone will enjoy celebratory drinks at the new Narragansett Brewery in Providence. If you would rather ride on your own favorite trial or on a stationary bike, there is a virtual component.
About Wheels for the World
NEHA has proudly been a sponsor of Save One Life’s Wheels for the World since its inception. The original event was to support Barry Haarde who inspired individuals with and without bleeding disorders when he cycled across the country 6 times and raised over $250,000 for Save One Life. Barry passed away suddenly in 2018 and this annual event recognizes Barry’s contribution to the bleeding disorder community and encourages healthy and active living.
Registration is $50 per rider and includes a t-shirt and other items sent to you ahead of time. If you fundraise more than $250, you will receive a special Wheels for the World jersey after the ride. All proceeds benefit Save One Life and NEHA’s Emergency Assistance Fund. When registering, please be sure to select “NEHA Day” on August 1.
