Consumer Medical Symposium
March 27, 2020 @ 8:30 am - March 28, 2020 @ 5:30 pm
NEHA is happy to host our 4th Annual Consumer Medical Symposium in at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill, CT from Saturday, March 27 – Sunday, March 28.
This event is intended to recognize March as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month and to help you understand what these potential medical advancements may mean for you and your family. Here, information will be presented about hemophilia A, hemophilia B, vWD, and other rare bleeding disorders.
The goals of this meeting are to provide consumers in the New England bleeding disorders community with the foundation and tools to discuss the current treatments and potential treatments in clinical trials (subcutaneous injections and gene therapy), to have conversations around future insurance barriers to these treatments, and to begin to process what the psychosocial implications may be to patients. Our keynote speaker will be announced soon. This year, we will be offering an adult, teen and youth track, and childcare will be provided for children under the age of 6.
More information will be released soon.
