NEHA and Save One Life Day Hike

August 17 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

We invite all families and friends of the bleeding disorder community to join us for the official launch of NEHA’s Backpacks & Bleeders on Saturday, August 17th at West Rattlesnake Mountain! Backpacks and Bleeders is was created by Chris Bombardier in conjunction with the Colorado Chapter of NHF with a goal of making outdoor experiences more accessible to the bleeding disorders community. Now that Chris has joined the NEHA community, we want to begin to build the program in New England!

This hike will take place as climbers with Save One Life are heading up Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. Chris will share his personal stories of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and what bleeding disorder care looks like around the world.

We will offer a brief educational session to help educate community members about safely participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, and Chris will talk about how he packs factor and prepares for outdoor adventures safely.
