Educational Webinar: Copay Accumulators and Maximizers
December 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The New England Hemophilia Association (NEHA) is happy to host an education webinar titled, “Copay Accumulators and Maximizers: What’s the Difference?” Please join us for this webinar on Tuesday, December 10 at 7 PM to learn more about this important topic.
Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) are continuing to implement “accumulator adjusters” and “accumulator maximizers.” These harmful programs allow the PBM to draw down the full value of the co-pay manufacturer card while still requiring the patient to pay co-pays and other out of pocket expenses up to the yearly out-of-pocket maximum.
During this webinar, Kollet Koulianos, MBA, Senior Director Payer Relations at the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF), will further explain what a copay accumulator and copay maximizer is. She will also provide an update on what is being done to prevent them. Finally, she will provide helpful information about what you can do if your insurance plan implements one of these harmful practices.
