Murder Mystery Dinner
We are hosting our first annual Murder Mystery Dinner to bring together community members and supporters. This event will offer engagement to the bleeding disorder community that will raise awareness and funds for the New England bleeding community.
Each year, we host a women's retreat that brings together 40 females (ages 13+) with any type of a bleeding disorder, carriers, and caregivers living in New England. The weekend features educational keynote sessions from New England Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) physicians, nurses, social workers, health and wellness workshops, breakout sessions, and much more! We had over 40 women attend in 2018.
BLeaders Teen Retreat
Building on the success of the Adventure Club and Junior Counselor programs at NEHA Family Camp, this two-day, 1 night program offers young adults with a bleeding disorder and their siblings (ages 13-19) an opportunity to expand their leadership skills, participate in educational activities designed specifically for teens that include: a high ropes course, skill development activities, campfire, group interaction, infusion sessions, etc. Attendance for our 2018 BLeaders teen retreat was 11 young adults. First Connections is a new NEHA program dedicated to families who are recently diagnosed and new to the community. The objective of the program is to * serve as touchpoint for families who have young children who were recently diagnosed * connect families to NEHA * share resources * provide tailored, smaller events specifically to meet the needs of newly diagnosed families. Hispanic Heritage Month Event
Each year, NEHA is proud to offer programming specific to our Hispanic community. In 2018, nearly 60 individuals attended our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Event. The conference is filled with educational opportunities for community members to learn and connect with others. All educational sessions are presented in Spanish only. von Willebrands Retreat
A New Program For The VWD Community We are thrilled to announce our 2nd Annual von Willebrand's Retreat. This event is focused solely on families living von Willebrand's Disease (VWD). Developed with community feedback, this retreat led by professional facilitators and Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) partners. Holiday Party 2019
The NEHA Holiday Party is an annual tradition and is held on the first Sunday of December. Families have an opportunity to spend a lot of time with friends new and old. Not to mention a special visit from the North Pole! The 2019 Holiday Party will be held in Newburyport. Additional details will become available in the coming months.
