Best Bloody Mary Competition
The New England Hemophilia Association and Rhode Island Food Fights held their 2nd Annual “Providence’s Best Bloody Mary” competition on Saturday, April 13 at the Roger Williams Casino in Providence, RI.
Competing bartenders were invited to compete for free and granted a table at the event where they created their unique bloody mary concoctions with their own mix, spices, and garnishes. All competitors were provided with vodka from event partner Tito’s Handmade Vodka. The event raised over $8,000 for NEHA!

The Rosendale once again named Providence’s Best Bloody Mary. Their bloody mary is a pineapple mango habanero with a candied bacon rim, celery, blue cheese stuffed olives, bacon, and habanero pepper. Troop won the award of Providence’s Best Bloody Mary Garnish with a crispy duck wonton, yuzu and Asian pear relish and micro cilantro.
The event was a tremendous success, with tickets sold out days before the event. More than 350 people tried samples from The Black Sheep, The Grange, Murphys Providence, New Harvest, Rogue Island Kitchen and Bar, Troop, The Rosendale Providence, The Salted Slate, and Wara Wara Restaurant.
