Education Day & Funtown Splashtown
On Sunday, July 26, we are hosting a day of fun, connection and education for families in our community. Educational Sessions will take place at the Portland Sheraton at Sable Oaks in Portland, ME before attendees enjoy the afternoon nearby at Funtown / Splashtown USA in Saco, ME.
The goal of this event is to provide early education, practical resources, and supportive connections for families who are new to the bleeding disorders community, particularly those with young children or a recent diagnosis. The events also bring the broader community together to share information about treatment options and build meaningful relationships with other families, partners, and care providers.
Agenda Overview
- Part I: Educational Sessions
- Start: Families should arrive at 7:30 AM.
- Food: Breakfast will be provided on Sunday morning.
- Agenda: During the morning, attendees will participate in roundtable discussions and educational sessions.
- End: Programming will conclude at 12 PM.
- Part II: Funtown / Splashtown USA
- After sessions end, attendees will receive admission tickets to Funtown / Splashtown USA.
- The amusement park is a roughly 20-minute drive from the hotel.
Accommodations
- This event is intended to be a one-day program. All programming will take place on Sunday.
- Hotel: For those traveling a far distance, we have secured a room block at the hotel for Saturday evening at the rate of $259 per night.

- Hotel Scholarships: A limited number of hotel scholarships are available to 2026 NEHA Members who would not otherwise be able to afford a hotel room.

Registration
- The event is free for any 2026 NEHA member.
- The fee for non-members is only $10 per person.

Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel your registration within one week of the event or do not show up for the event, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $30 per person.
- Please do not attend this event if you have tested positive for COVID-19, the flu, RSV, or have cold-like symptoms.
