Kate Bazinsky, MPH

Hailing from Newton, MA, Kate is the mom of two young kids, Nora and Colin. In 2017, her 16-month-old son, Colin, was diagnosed with severe hemophilia A. With no family history, the Bazinsky’s turned to NEHA to find community and support as they struggled to understand what this meant for Colin’s future and their family.

NEHA has become an important part of their lives and Kate was honored to serve a term on the Board of Directors. Presently, she chairs the national Bleeding Disorders Substance Use & Mental Health Access Coalition (BD SUMHAC), which NEHA is the fiscal agent of. Kate worked in federal politics and has an extensive background in health care policy and consulting. She has also had a regular yoga practice for over twenty years.
