NEHA Family Camp – COVID-19 Precautions Email from 6/24
Family Camp COVID-19 Precautions
Below is a copy on the Family Camp COVID-19 Precautions email that was sent to all Families, Counselors, Junior Counselors, Staff and Volunteers on June 24.
Hello Camp Attendees!
We are reaching out with an important update. Some members of the Geneva Point Center (GPC) Staff have tested positive for COVID-19 and will be quarantining through the week. GPC has tested their entire Staff and those who are not affected are wearing masks. They are monitoring Staff closely for symptoms and taking additional precautions to mitigate risk. Camp will continue as planned.
NEHA has put several health measures in place at Family Camp since 2021, when we returned to being in-person during the pandemic, including doing most programming and meals outside. Interaction with GPC Staff members is also limited while we’re on campus. We strongly encourage hand sanitation throughout the day, especially at mealtimes. We will continue to work closely with GPC Staff to ensure our collective safety.
We understand that your family may prefer not to come to Camp given the circumstances. Please reach out to, Rich Pezzillo, [email protected] or 401-338-1116, if you would like to cancel or if you have any questions. We will have masks at camp for anyone who would like to wear one. We also encourage you to bring your own supplies, if your own masks, tests, or anything else that would make you feel more comfortable.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
