We're Here For You

Every year, our Annual Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk celebrates the efforts of teams who support the New England bleeding disorders community. Team captains hold an important role as leaders of the Walk. They work tirelessly each year to fundraise, advocate, and to raise awareness about the bleeding disorder community.

We are here to help you every step of the way: whether you are a returning team or if this is your first walk! We want to help you create and lead the strongest Walk Team possible! Below are resources to help you fundraise, share your story, and more.

Team Captain Resources

Team Captain Toolkit

Whether this is your first year as a Team Captain, or you are looking for tips to increase your fundraising this year, our informative Team Captain Guide will give you everything you need to be successful this year! See our Team Captain Guide here. Also, see our Team Captain One Pager here.

Linking Your Facebook Fundraiser

Linking your Walk Team’s Page to your Facebook fundraiser is easy and allows your donations to sync between the two platforms! Donations will automatically appear on your Walk page once you link them together.

The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation created this step-by-step video tutorial a few years ago but it’s still relevant and explains how to easily and quickly link your account. Watch the video below!

Overcoming The Fear of Fundraising

The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) recently held a webinar to help Walk Team Captains in our community overcome the fear of fundraising. We want to help make this easier for you!

The first key is to reframe your mindset. People often think fundraising is about asking for money, which can be hard or scary—but it is more about sharing your story! This video also provides tools to help you craft a compelling story, use humor and personal stories to encourage people to donate, and other easy ways you can make your fundraising journey easier. Watch the video below.
