Champlain Valley’s Best Bloody
After two extremely successful sold-out Best Bloody Mary competitions in Providence, Rhode Island, the New England Hemophilia Association (NEHA) brought this competition to northern Vermont! Champlain Valley’s Best Bloody Mary competition took place on Saturday, October 5 from 11 AM – 2 PM at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, Vermont.
Nearly 175 people enjoyed a day of tasting bloody marys that were whipped up by local bartenders! Attendees tasted samples from Drink, The Friendly Toast, Waterworks Food & Drink, The Shelburne Tap House, Leunig’s Bistro, The Spanked Puppy, City Sports Grille, Railroad & Main, The Skinny Pancake, Rí Rá Irish Pub, and the 19th Hole Bar & Grill!
Competing bartenders from eleven bars were invited to compete for free and are granted a table at the event where they created their unique bloody mary concoctions with their own mix, spices, and garnishes. All competitors were provided with vodka from event partner Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
And the Winner is…
After the votes were counted, The Shelburne Tap House was named Champlain Valley’s Best Bloody Mary! They were also voted Champlain Valley’s Best Bloody Mary Garnish! Their bloody mary had all the satisfaction of a classic bloody mary, with a light twist of citrus and luscious spicy smoky flavors! Their garnish was a piece of art that depicted all of their “Daily Deals” – a creative combination showcasing all that they offer!
